High hopes are a dog rescue in the Worcestershire/ Shropshire area dedicated to bettering the lives of dogs and giving them the life and love they deserve.
About High Hopes
High Hopes Dog Rescue was founded on the 9th of August 2018, by Samantha Watson. Samantha worked alongside rescue dogs for four years. Reaching her 40th Birthday and taking a trip to Romania in the summer of 2018, she then decided that she wanted to do more to help.
After seeing with her own eyes of the horror of one of many public kill shelters, broke her like nothing else had before in her lifetime and she couldn't walk away and do nothing. The look in the dogs eyes in the shelters will haunt her forever.
The rescue is run by Samantha Watson and Tara Carr. who have been great friends with for over 20 years. They both have lots of experience with dogs and running of a rescue.
Where They Rescue Dogs From
High Hopes are an International rescue. They rescue dogs from Romania, who have been rescued by a lady called Cristina Blaj. They also work with a couple of Portuguese rescues.Â
All dogs they rescue from overseas are vaccinated, microchipped, flea'd and wormed. Subject to age they neutered too. Their focus is making sure the dogs are healthy and able to travel, and then they can begin their journey to a better life and a loving home.
